Banana Walnut Bread

• 1 stick butter, room temperature
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (3 medium)
or plantains (2 regular)
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

•Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt into bowl. Set aside.
•In a larger bowl cream the butter and sugar together.
•Add the eggs and mashed bananas until thoroughly blended.
•Add the dry ingredients
•Turn into a greased and floured 9
1/2 x 5 1/2 dish and bake at 350°F for about 1 hour. When you can put a toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean the bread is done.
