This is what I call my "easy starters." It is so simple to put together and a wonderful way to begin the feast off. Find an assortment of fresh and colorful organic vegetables and leave them & the dip out all evening. You will find the guest like to munch on something refreshing every now and then.
There are so many delectable cheeses and olives available on the market. Try to discover new ones to serve. Talk to the person at the cheese counter, there is usually a story behind each type. People love to talk food and it is great way to start conversation going.
Dip I:
1 cup mayonnaise
1 chopped scallion
1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon fresh dill
olive oil to thin
salt & pepper to taste
Blend all ingredients adding the olive oil to reach desirable consistency.
Dip II:
4 ounces of Gravlox
1/3 cup havy cream
1/2 teaspoon capers
black pepper
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
