WINDOWS

BEFORE____AFTER

Clean windows are a must in my home. It is truly one of my favorite things. To achieve this the paint needed to be removed in order to open them. Yes, there was so much paint built up that they were sealed shut! Now I get fresh air with clean windows and I don't have to worry about lead paint chipping now that there is a baby in the home.

Luckily my dear friend Conny from Denmark was kind enough to help me. Whenever possible, do your restoring with someone else. It makes it more fun and your less likely to give up. Be careful not to damage the wood with scrapes. It has a tendency to get softer when using Zip-Strip.

One thing that I discovered was the detail in the woodwork. There was so much paint on the windows that there was none left. It did make more work with the removal, but it is well worth it to have them looking so rich.
